Gavro Quartet is a newly formed jazz ensemble founded in 2023 by guitarist Tilen Gavranovič. The quartet is also composed of Lenart De Bock on saxophone, Miloš Čolović on double bass, and Andreas Reisenhofer on drums. The group focuses on original compositions by Gavranovič, blending influences from various musical genres, ranging from classic jazz to contemporary styles within the genre. They also draw inspiration from other musical styles, allowing listeners with diverse musical tastes to connect with their music.
In January 2024, they recorded their first album, titled "Let's Wait and See," which features world-renowned trumpeter Jim Rotondi and pianist Marko Churnchetz as guest artists. The album will be released on October 9, 2024, and the band will embark on a promotional tour the following day, performing in Austria, Germany, the Czech Republic, and Slovenia.
